Our approach with Lighting Conductors is based upon long experience. Often old L.C. Systems are found to be ineffective due to lack of earthing - usually as a result of routine annual resistance tests being missed.
We are keen to carry out this task on L.C. Systems, assisting our clients to fulfill the BS:6651 and new BS EN 62305 standards and Insurance requirements. Maintaining existing L.C. Systems and upgrading when needed.
Lightning Protection Design Service and Support
A properly designed system provides effective protection yet interferes as little as possible with the appearance of the building being protected. We strive to achieve both practical and pleasing designs.
This often allows us to use parts of the structures framework of the building to be incorporated to reduce the visual impact of the system.

The British Standard BS 6651-1999 ( The Protection of Structures Against Lighting ) gives guidance on on the forms of protection that may be adopted.
Technical Details / Sketches
We can supply on demand details of standard connection methods and builders drawings for incorporation into technical specifications. Cad format (dwg) and others catered for.
Maintenance
All works comply to BS 6651 : 1999 and requires annual testing and inspection. We provide a comprehensive testing and maintenance schedule to ensure any defects are observed and corrected resulting in continued peace of mind for the end user.
